Seen Therapy has deep awareness that many clients have survived traumatic experiences. Our brains are wired for connection, but when we experience trauma, we rewire for protection. As a result, a history of trauma can sometimes be compartmentalized or repressed.
Our team of trained clinicians are experienced in working with different types of trauma.
Betrayal Trauma
If someone close to you has ever broken your trust, you may be experiencing betrayal. The closest or safest person to you has now become the most dangerous or untrustworthy.
Betrayal is a violation of trust and its wounds come in all forms and at times the symptoms of betrayal may even mimic those of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

A fear of intimacy is the fear of being emotionally and/or physically close to another individual, even while longing for connection. This fear can often be overlooked and misdiagnosed. Our team of clinicians understand intimacy disorders.
We help our clients overcome their obstacles to intimacy.

Family of Origin, Cultural and Societal Messaging
Let’s get real: where we come from influences us.
It doesn't define who we are meant to be.
Seen Therapy works with women experiencing the challenges of feeling stuck or invisible due to cultural, religious or societal messaging.
We'll work to help you find out who you want to be authentically.
